What each computer status means
The badge beside a computer shows whether it is on, off or busy. A busy computer cannot take other changes until it finishes what it is doing.

The status shows on the Computers page and at the top of each computer's page. Some wording differs between those pages and the page employees use, so the table shows both.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Provisioning or Setting up | The computer is being created. |
| Running | It is on and you can connect. |
| Starting or Powering on | It is turning on. |
| Stopping or Powering off | It is turning off. |
| Stopped or Powered off | It is off. Your files are safe, and it still costs money. |
| Rebooting or Restarting | It is restarting. This also shows during a plan change, a password change and a snapshot restore. |
| Updating networking or Updating network | Its network address is changing. |
| Provisioning storage | A disk is being added or resized. |
| Deleting | It is being permanently removed. |
| Error or Needs attention | Something went wrong. |
| Loading or Updating | The page is waiting for the latest status. |
While a computer is busy, most changes have to wait. On the computer's own page, clicking a button tells you what it is waiting for. Try again when it finishes.
