Find or change your computer's username and password
We create a Windows username and password for each computer. See them on the computer's page, or change the password there. The computer must be running.

Each computer has its own Windows username and password, which we create for you. These are different from the email and password you use for this portal. You need them for Remote Desktop only: a browser session signs in for you.
Find them
- Click Computers in the sidebar.
- Click the computer's name.
- Click the RDP and credentials tab.
- Look under Sign-in details. It lists the IP address, Username and Password.
- Click the eye button to show the password, or the copy button beside it.
The computer must be running to show the password. During setup, the section shows Sign-in details aren't ready yet.
Employees see the same details in the menu at the end of a computer's row, under Connect with the Remote Desktop app. Read more for employees.
Keep this private. Anyone with this password can sign in to the computer from an allowed address.
Change the password
Company admins can change it from the same tab. Use this page rather than Windows, because the account is set up so Windows itself will not change it.
- Click Change password.
- Type it in New password. It needs at least 8 characters.
- Type it again in Confirm new password.
- Click Change password in the dialog.
The computer reboots to apply this, which usually takes 1 to 2 minutes, and anyone connected is disconnected. Save your work first. RDP files you already downloaded keep working, because the password is not stored in them.
If the change fails, try a longer password with capitals, numbers and symbols.
To change the password you use for this portal instead, read change your password.
