What you still pay for while a computer is stopped
A stopped computer costs the same as a running one. Its plan, disks and static IP stay on your bill until you delete the computer or remove them.

You pay the same for a stopped computer as for a running one. Billing is monthly and does not depend on whether the computer is on. Shutting it down does not pause, reduce or refund anything.
These all stay on your bill while it is stopped:
- The computer's plan.
- Extra disks, and any primary disk space you added.
- A static IP.
- Recording, if you added it to that computer.
How to pay less
| What you want | What to do | When the charge changes |
|---|---|---|
| Stop paying for the computer | Delete it. This removes everything on it. | From your next billing cycle, with no refund for the current one |
| Pay for a smaller computer | Change to a cheaper plan | From your next billing cycle |
| Stop paying for an extra disk | Delete the disk | From your next billing cycle |
| Stop paying for a static IP | Remove it | From your next billing cycle |
See what a computer costs
The Computers page shows each computer's plan price under Monthly, and adds those up as Monthly cost, whether the computers are running or stopped. These figures cover plans only.
For one computer's full cost, including extra storage and a static IP:
- Click Computers in the sidebar.
- Click the computer's name.
- Click the Subscription tab.
- Look under Monthly cost.
The Estimated total there is based on current prices. Your actual charges are on your invoices.
