Your computer can open in a browser tab, with nothing to install. You do not need to type the Windows password.

  1. Click Computers in the sidebar.
  2. Find the computer and click Connect.
  3. Click Connect via browser.

A new tab shows Connecting for a moment, and then your Windows screen. Employees click Connect on their Your computers page.

The list of allowed addresses applies only to Remote Desktop, so a browser session does not need your address on it.

If the computer is off

The row shows Start instead of Connect. Click it, and connect when the status shows Running.

If you opened the session page while the computer was off, it shows This computer is off. Click Start computer and the page connects as soon as it is ready.

If someone else is using it

Only one person can be signed in at a time, and the page names who is on it. Connect anyway disconnects them. Their open work stays where it is for them to come back to. Click Back to computers to leave them connected.

If your session ends

Your session has ended means an admin ended it or the computer's password changed. Your open work stays on the computer. Click Reconnect.

We couldn't connect usually clears if you click Try again after a moment. If it does not, read what to do when you cannot connect.

When you finish, click Disconnect. The computer keeps running.
