A new computer is usually ready in 3 to 7 minutes. You can leave the page. Setup keeps running, and the Computers page shows how it is going.
What happens during setup
After payment, the progress page moves through these steps:
- Launching your computer: reserving the machine and its encrypted disk.
- Starting Windows: the first start takes a few minutes.
- Securing and configuring: applying your allowed addresses and creating your Windows sign-in.
- Ready to connect: you can open the computer.
When it finishes, you can click Connect in browser or RDP and credentials.
When it can take longer
If the region is being set up for your company, you see Preparing the region first, under the heading Waiting for the region. This adds time, and your computer starts automatically afterward.
On the Computers page, the row shows the time left, or Setting up, taking longer than usual after about 7 minutes. After 15 minutes the progress page also tells you it is taking longer than usual. It will finish on its own. If nothing changes soon after that, contact our team.
If setup fails
The page shows Setup did not finish, or the computer's status shows Error. Click Contact support and our team will sort it out.
