In a browser session

Copy and paste work for text. Click inside the session first, then use the usual shortcuts. Your browser may ask for permission to use the clipboard. Allow it, or paste will not reach the computer.

You cannot transfer files in a browser session. Drag and drop, uploading and downloading are all turned off there. To move files, use one of the two ways below.

With Remote Desktop

The RDP file is set up to share your clipboard and your drives.

  • Copy a file on your device and paste it inside the computer.
  • Or open File Explorer inside the computer and look under This PC. Your own drives appear there, and you can copy files from them.

Windows may ask whether you trust this connection with your drives when you connect. Set up Remote Desktop.

With Cloud Drive

This works from either kind of session.

  1. Upload the file to Cloud Drive from your own device.
  2. Open a browser inside the computer.
  3. Sign in to this portal there.
  4. Download the file from Cloud Drive.

Do the same in reverse to get a file out of the computer.
