You can add a static IP when you create a computer, or change it later. On the computer's page, a static IP is called a Dedicated IP. Company admins do this, and the computer must be running.

Add one

  1. Click Computers in the sidebar.
  2. Click the computer's name.
  3. Click the Networking tab.
  4. Click Change IP type.
  5. Read the price in the dialog.
  6. Click Pay and switch to dedicated IP.

Your card is charged now, prorated for what is left of your billing period, and the monthly price is added to your bill.

Remove one

The address is released, and you may not be able to get it back. Anything that relies on it stops working until you update it with the new address.

  1. Click Computers in the sidebar.
  2. Click the computer's name.
  3. Click the Networking tab.
  4. Click Change IP type.
  5. Click Switch to public IP.

There is no refund for the current billing period. The charge ends at your next billing cycle.

What happens during the change

  • The status shows Updating networking.
  • The computer can be offline for 1 to 2 minutes, so save your work first.
  • The computer's address changes either way, so download a new RDP file afterward.

Deleting a computer also releases its static IP.

If a message says the change failed, your bill and address stay as they were. Try again, or contact our team.
