Delete an extra disk

Removing an extra disk permanently deletes its files and reboots the computer. Billing for it ends at the end of the billing cycle, with no refund.

Updated · 1 min read

You can delete any extra disk. Company admins can do this while the computer is running. The primary disk cannot be deleted.

Everything on the disk is permanently deleted, and snapshots of it cannot be restored. Copy anything you need to another drive first.

  1. Click Computers in the sidebar.
  2. Click the computer's name.
  3. Click the Storage tab.
  4. Click Delete beside the disk.
  5. Tick the box to confirm you understand.
  6. Click Delete disk.

The disk is removed and the computer reboots. Anyone connected is disconnected.

Billing for the disk stops at the end of this billing cycle. There is no refund for the current one.

If you only need less space on the primary disk, that is not possible. The primary disk can grow but cannot shrink.
