Use full screen and keyboard shortcuts
Click Full screen in a browser session, or use Remote Desktop, which opens full screen. Some shortcuts stay with your own device, and a few differ.

In a browser session
Click Full screen in the bar above the screen. Click Exit full screen to go back. The bar stays visible.
When you change the size of the window or go full screen, the page shows Fitting your screen for a moment while the session adjusts. Your programs stay open. The size stays fixed while you are sharing your screen.
Your keystrokes go to the computer once you have clicked inside it. A few are kept by your own browser or device, such as the shortcuts that close a tab. Closing the tab disconnects you, and the computer keeps running.
If the keyboard is not on the session, for example after you click the bar above it, pressing Esc takes you back to your computers list and ends the session. Click Connect to return.
To lock the computer or sign out of Windows, use the Windows Start menu inside the session.
With Remote Desktop
The RDP file opens full screen on your main display. Move the pointer to the top of the screen for the bar that lets you minimize or close the window. In full screen, Windows shortcuts go to the computer.
On a Windows PC, these keys help:
| Keys | What they do |
|---|---|
| Ctrl + Alt + Break | Switch between full screen and a window |
| Ctrl + Alt + End | Does what Ctrl + Alt + Del would do on the computer |
On a Mac, Windows uses Control where you would use Command.
