Reset an employee's password

Only a company admin can do this. It changes the password they use to sign in to OWD Cloud, not the password of a computer.

1. Click Users in the sidebar.
2. Click the person's name.
3. Click the Security tab.
4. Under Password, choose one of the two options below.

Send them a link

Click Send link. This is the better choice, because nobody else sees the password.

We email them the link, and it also shows on the page so you can copy it if the email fails. It works once and lasts 1 day, and it is not shown again.

Set a password yourself

1. Type a password under Set a password yourself, or click Generate. It needs 8 or more characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a symbol.
2. Click Update password, then Update password again to confirm.
3. Tell them the new password yourself. We do not send it.

Either way, they are signed out on every device.

Your own password

You cannot reset your own password from this page. See change your password. Employees can also change their own under Settings in their sidebar, and anyone can use forgot your password on the sign-in page.
