Stop someone's access for a while without removing them

There is no suspend button for one person. You can take away their computers and sign them out, and keep their account.

OWD Cloud has no suspend or disable button for one person. If someone is away and you want to keep their account, take away what they can reach and sign them out.

  1. Click Users in the sidebar.
  2. Click the menu at the end of the person's row.
  3. Click Remove computer access, then Remove access to confirm. Their sessions end now. Passwords they could see are changed, which disconnects anyone else on those computers.
  4. Click the person's name, and on the Access tab click the cross beside each Authenticator folder and shared drive.
  5. Click the Sessions tab, then Sign out everywhere, then Sign out.

They can still sign in, but their workspace is empty. When they return, give their computers back and share their folders again.

Sign out everywhere on its own does not keep anyone out. They can sign straight back in unless you also remove their access.

If they must not be able to sign in at all, remove them. You can invite the same email address again later.
