Admin and employee roles and what each can do
Admins run the company account and can use every computer. Employees get a smaller workspace with only what was given to them.

Every person in your company is either an admin or an employee.
| Admin | Employee | |
|---|---|---|
| Sidebar | Every page, including Users and Billing | Computers, Cloud Drive, Authenticator, Settings and Support |
| Computers | Can use and manage every computer in the company | Can use only the computers given to them |
| Create or delete computers | Yes | No |
| Cloud Drive and Authenticator | The full pages | Only the drives and folders shared with them |
| Pay bills | Yes | No |
| Add or remove people | Yes | No |
Change someone's role
- Click Users in the sidebar.
- Click the person's name.
- Click the Security tab.
- Under Role, choose Admin or Employee.
- Click Save role, then Change role to confirm.
The change signs them out everywhere, so it applies at once.
Changing an admin to an employee leaves them with only the computers assigned to them. Any computer password they viewed elsewhere is changed, which can disconnect people using that computer.
What you cannot change
- Your own role. Another admin has to do it.
- The account owner's role. The owner is the first person on the account, shows an Owner badge, and is always an admin.
- The role of someone still invited. Wait until they have set a password.
