If someone else is using it
Only one person can be signed in to a computer at a time. You see who is on it, and you can click Connect anyway. They are disconnected, and their open work stays where it is for them to come back to.
If the computer is off
If you are allowed to power it on, click Start on your Computers page, or Start computer on the page that opens. Starting takes a minute or two, and the page connects as soon as it is ready.
If you are not allowed, the Connect button is greyed out. Ask someone with access to start it.
Using the Remote Desktop app
This is only for people with Full access to the computer.
- Click the menu at the end of the computer's row.
- Click Connect with the Remote Desktop app.
- Copy the address and username, and click the eye icon to show the password.
- Click Download RDP file if you would like a file that opens the connection. This also adds your network address to the list of addresses allowed to connect.
The computer has to be running first. See connect with Remote Desktop for the rest.
If you are disconnected
- Your session has ended means an admin ended it or the computer's password changed. Your open work stays on the computer. Click Reconnect.
- Your access has ended means the computer is no longer on your list. Ask your company admin if you need it.
- Your workspace is paused is explained in my workspace is paused.
