Create a monitor

1. Click Uptime monitors in the sidebar.
2. Click Create monitor.
3. Type a Monitor name.
4. Type the URL to monitor, including https:// or http://.
5. Choose a Check frequency. It can be from every 30 seconds to every 30 minutes, and starts at every 5 minutes.
6. Under Regions, turn on where to check from. Checking from more than one region reduces false alarms.
7. Click Notifications, and choose who hears about it.
8. Click Create monitor.

If you leave every alert off, the page warns you that the monitor will record incidents but will not alert anyone.

The address must be one anyone on the internet can reach. Addresses inside a private network cannot be monitored.
