Why we ask you to verify your organization
Verification confirms who is responsible for your account. You need it to go past a set number of computers and to request referral payouts.

We verify account holders to meet compliance rules, prevent fraud and confirm who is responsible for billing. You only need to do it for two things:
- Having more computers than your company is allowed without verification.
- Requesting a referral payout.
Until then, you can use OWD Cloud without it.
How many computers you can have
Your limits are on the Organization page, because they can differ between companies.
- Click Settings in the sidebar, then Organization.
- Look under Limits.
Your limit now is the one that applies today. Without verification and After verification show both limits.
Every computer your company has counts, including stopped ones and ones still being set up. A computer you have deleted does not count.
What happens when you reach the limit
You cannot add another computer, and you see Verify your organization when you try. Your existing computers keep working. Nothing is stopped or deleted.
Before you get there, the dashboard shows Identity verification is coming up, and the Organization page shows Needed soon.
Once you are verified, your limit rises to the number under After verification. If you reach that one too, contact our team to add more.
Who does it
A company admin does it once, for the whole company. Nobody else in the company needs to.
