What earns a referral reward and when
Rewards come from new sign-ups, computers, Cloud Drive and Authenticator. Amounts are on the Referrals page and can change.

There are four kinds of reward. What you earn on the Referrals page shows the current amounts, which can change. A reward you have already earned keeps the amount it had when you earned it.
| Reward | When you earn it | How often |
|---|---|---|
| Account created | The referred company creates its account | Once |
| Computer (monthly) | For each computer that company has | Each calendar month |
| Cloud Drive (monthly) | While that company has an active Cloud Drive | Each calendar month |
| Authenticator | That company has a paid Authenticator subscription | Once |
The details
- Rewards do not appear the instant something happens. They show up in your activity a little later.
- A stopped computer still earns. A deleted one does not.
- Computers stop earning if the referred company's subscription ends.
- An Authenticator free trial does not count. The reward comes when the company is paying.
- A sign-up that looks like a repeat of an earlier one earns no Account created reward and is left out of your sign-up total. Other rewards from that company still count.
- Monthly rewards keep being added for as long as the computer or Cloud Drive stays active and your own referral program is active.
- If your program is suspended, you earn no new rewards.
